First time visiting here while coming to visit my family, This restaurant was a treat to say the least. The service and our server was outstanding, she provided top service to our table and several other tables. She was sweet, kind and very attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better waitress. We started with some appetizers, onion rings and housemade mozzarella sticks, which were just amazing, they were delicious! For our meals we ordered 2 x turkey club sandwiches with fries, the scallops dinner, turkey dinner with gravy and clams dinner, while my daughter ordered the kids sliders combo. All the food was fantastic, hot and extremely tasty, we all enjoyed our meals. We also ordered 2 milkshakes to go, a slice of coconut cream pie and the liver and onions platter to go. The milkshakes were good, the butterscotch milkshake wasn't too butterscotch flavoured but was good, the Moon mist shake was delicious and reminded me of being a kid. The coconut cream pie was delicious, flakey and didn't last long. The liver and onions were hot, fresh and tasty and our family member loved it. I'll definitely be back to Vernon's for another delicious meal, I'm happy my family decided to choose this restaurant to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday!!

We went for lunch here, and I must say it was a great diner! The service was excellent by their servers. Food was mind-blowing, so yum. I loved every bit of it. Prices were genuine. We had a milkshake, burger with fries and mozzarella cheese sticks with marinara sauce. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Would definitely go back here!!

The waitress really wanted me to have a hot turkey supper even though I ordered a hot hamburg with onions and mushrooms lol she corrected it asap and I really enjoyed my meal.

A friendly old school diner with lots of menu options. The food is good but pretty basic. I had a bacon and eggs breakfast that was delicious. A friend had the western sandwich and was not impressed. Another had mac and cheese and they liked it. Overall a good spot if you’re hungry.

Very interesting entourage, lots of seating space for a diner. There is a bar counter here. It has not much choice of alcohol (except beer) but for such a place it is very normal (there are photos of the bar and a drinks menu). The prices are reasonable. The workers are friendly and pleasant to talk to. My wife and I ordered Chicken Parmesan, Buffalo Poutine, Pepsi and Nine Locks IPA beer. I really liked the taste of her pasta. It had an Interesting dense taste. My dish too, but unexpectedly for me it was spicy. Not too much, I just didn't expect and didn't plan to eat spicy on that visit. My mistake, as they explained to me, everyone knows that this sauce is spicy(Buffalo), so it's not written on the menu. I took part of it home and ate it later with pleasure. Beer was ok. Usually I like to try different places every time and rarely go back to the same places(to taste as much different dishes as I can and make new reviews), but sometimes I get interested in trying some dishes in the same places and this is one of them. So yes, I can recommend this place. P.S.: I wonder how much it cost to make a car like that and put it on the roof? :)

Went here for a casual lunch, the place was moderately filled. The service was good but extremely slow, it took a while for someone to attend to us even though there were empty tables, it took a long time for the food to arrive and the bill. The corned beef and cabbage soup did not have any cabbage for some odd reason and wasn't seasoned enough. The haddock was good but could have been seasoned more. The fried chicken was the star it was pretty good and well seasoned. I ordered fries which never arrived. Pleasently surprised.

Great food. Their fish and chips are fantastic. Gravy is even better. Only reason its not 5 stars is because for as good as their fries and gravy is. Their poutine are so cheap with cheese curds I thought they made a mistake.

Our first taste of Nova Scotia and WOW! As soon as you pull up in the large car park everything feels right. We got a very warm welcome from the staff and such a clean happy friendly place to be. Food was just brilliant and good value for money. You must make a visit if your in the area. Thank you all so very much.
